Loving Mother of Wisdom, known in Tibetan as Sherab Chamma, is the principal female deity in the ancient Bon religion—an indigenous spiritual tradition of Tibet, the Himalayas, and Central Asia. The term "Bon" means "truth" in the Zhang Zhung language, echoing the deep-rooted heritage of Western Tibet.
Regarded as the compassionate embodiment of wisdom itself, Sherab Chamma is revered as the spiritual mother of all Enlightened Ones and Bon deities. Among the Four Transcendent Onesthe central figures in the Bon pantheon—she holds the foremost place and is the only female, symbolizing nurturing wisdom and timeless guidance.

Sherab Chamma is venerated in many forms, ranging from serene and peaceful to wrathful and fiercely protective. In her most wrathful manifestation, she appears as Sipai Gyalmo, the Queen of the World, with three faces and six arms—a fierce guardian and the supreme protector of the Bon tradition. In her semi-wrathful form, she is Yeshe Walmo, a personal protector and a deity of healing and purification.

This sacred figure continues to inspire devotees with her boundless compassion, strength, and transformative power, offering protection, wisdom, and healing across generations.
