Tripura Sundari

Tripura Sundari, also known as Sodashi and Lalita, is a Hindu goddess and is mainly venerated in Shaktism, the goddess-oriented sect of Hinduism. She is also a prominent Mahavidya. She is glorified in many Shakta texts, with Lalita Sahasranama being the most popular one.
According to the Srikula tradition in Shaktism, Tripura Sundari is the foremost of the Mahavidyas and the highest aspect of Goddess Adi Parashakti. The Tripura Upanishad places her as the ultimate Shakti (energy, power) of the universe. She is described as the supreme consciousness, ruling from above Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra and Ishwara. Tripurasundari is said to sit on Sadasiva's lap in his form as Kāmeśvara, the "Lord of Desire". She is also the primary goddess associated with the Shakta Tantric tradition known as Sri Vidya. In the Antique finishing process, after the Gold plating is applied, a carefully applied layer of varnish is added. It helps to safeguard the gold layer but also prevents tarnishing for an extended period. Read More

Lost-Wax System

This Tripura Sundari is made by the process of the Lost-Wax system. The lost-wax process, also known as investment casting, is a time-honored technique used to create metal sculptures. It involves several steps that have been practiced for thousands of years. Skilled artisans begin by sculpting a detailed wax model, capturing every intricate detail of the desired sculpture. The wax model is then coated with a ceramic shell, formed by multiple layers of ceramic material. Once the shell has cured, the wax is melted and drained out, leaving behind a cavity. Molten metal is poured into the cavity, creating a precise replica of the original wax model. After the metal has cooled and solidified, the ceramic shell is carefully removed, revealing the final metal sculpture. Read More
